Add a healthy dose of antioxidants to your martini with a dash pomegranate juice!
Pomegranate Martini Recipe
2 Oz Pomegranate Juice
2 Oz Vodka
1/4 Oz Simple Syrup
Directions:
Combine pomegranate juice, vodka and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice. Strain and serve. Garnish with a lemon twist. For something different try with Citron vodka.
For an even tangier pomegranate martini, substitute one ounce of rubyred grapefruit juice for one ounce of pomegranate juice.

- You can make pomegranate juice by cutting a medium pomegranate in half and juicing with any regular juicer. Each pomegranate should yield about four ounces of juice.
- Simple Syrup is made by combining equal parts sugar and water, boiling, and then simmering until syrupy.
- For variation, use a citrus vodka such as Absolute Citron and add little bit of lime juice.
